What is Awana?
The word AWANA stands
for Approved Workmen Are Not
Ashamed and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15:
|
"Study
to show yourself approved unto God, a workman
that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
|
Uniforms, awards, pins
and patches help motivate Clubbers to memorize God's Word. Our mission
is "to reach boys & girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them
to serve Him."
Our AWANA club (charter #5442) was formed in
September, 1984. From September through May over 80 children
participate each week in Bible teaching and memorization, competitions,
and special events.

Registration Information
AWANA's new season begins Wednesday,
September 9th. Parents must register all new and returning
clubbers each
year. You may register:
- Any
Wednesday night. You are always welcome!
- When
you begin coming to Club, we will give you an entrance
booklet to study and recite from. Once you have
completed the entrance booklet, you will recieve a handbook to begin
working in. The cost of the handbooks are: Cubbies $8.00,
Sparks $7.50, and Truth & Training $8.00.
- Prices are subject to change
Uniforms
- The AWANA
uniform lets others know you are a member of your club. Wearing a
uniform is not required, but if you have a uniform to display all of
your awards, it will be more meaningful. You can order a uniform
as soon as you complete the requirements for membership, which are
completing your entrance booklet.
The price of the uniforms are:
- Cubbies Vest -
$10.00
- Sparks Vest -
$11.00
- Truth &
Training Shirts - $18.00 (kids sizes)
- Truth &
Training Shirts - $23.00 (adult sizes)
- Wear your
complete uniform each week for the club meeting. Make sure you
attach
your awards to it as soon as possible! We encourage all clubbers
to wear gym-type shoes as part of the uniform. Also, we recommend
that the clubbers wear modest length shorts or long-pants. This
is
for safety on the Game Circle. Sparks must wear long pants.
- Also available
are bags for
Cubbies ($6.00) and Sparks ($5.00)
- Prices are
subject to change.
Dues
- There are no
"dues" required for attending AWANA. However, each clubber is
encouraged to bring $.50 each week to help support our sister club in
Venezuela and our AWANA missionaries. The $.50 also is used to
help defray the cost of weekly prizes we give to winning teams.
- You may pre-pay
your yearly dues for $12.50. This saves $3.50.
- We are happy to
supply your children with the uniform awards they earn throughout the
year. Awards that become lost may be replaced at a nominal cost
by contacting your child's leader.
