Pastor Matt Funk
Pastor
Matt grew up in a really small town in central
Canada. His parents became Christians
when he was two and he’s never known anything but the church and Jesus.
During his high-school years he felt God’s
calling to ministry and while in college was recruited to the youth
pastorate
where he served for 8 years before being called as the Senior Pastor of
the
Twain
Harte Evangelical Free Church in June of 2005. Pastor Matt loves
to preach and teach
God’s
Word and is gifted in this area despite not having had any formal
training. He has been married to Kathy
for 14 years (who is also Canadian) and they have 4 children, 2
Canucks, Jonah
(12) and Jadon (10) and 2 Yankees, Gabriel (7) and Amariah (4). Besides
preaching Pastor Matt enjoys singing
and playing his guitar and the occasional round of golf (oh and a
little xbox
with the boys!).
