Mortgage Burning Celebration January 4, 2004

On Sunday, January 4, 2004 our congregation celebrated a major milestone of ministry.  In celebration of God’s tremendous graciousness and the retirement of all our debts, during the Service of Worship burned our mortgage!  Our guest speaker during the service was Rev. William (Bill) Smith, the founding pastor of our congregation. Following the Service of Worship there was a special Celebration Luncheon in which we were joined by over 150 present and former members of the congregation as we remembered our roots and those who have worked tirelessly to bring us to this day.  As well we looked forward together to the future of our ministry. On this unique day we joyfully gave thanks to God.  Where we have come is because of His graciousness and blessing.  Where we will go into the future we pray will be according to His will.  In all things may He be glorified and honored.
