Pastor Steve York joined the pastoral staff of Creekside in December 2003.  

Pastor Steve eagerly engages in lofty conversations about ethics, philosophy and spirituality, but he isn’t above annihilating his fellow man with an onslaught of rapid-fire water balloons.  Pastor Steve's reverence for the deeper issues of humanity paired with a hearty appreciation of goofy party games has endeared him to our youth.  His ministry focus is on young couples, college students, and middle school and high school students.

Previously Pastor Steve spent six years organizing youth programs in the Detroit, Michigan, area. He has a B.A. in linquistices from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Divinity from Michigan Theological Seminary (Plymouth, MI).

Pastor Steve and his wife, Janelle, live in Merced with their two children, Josiah and Olivia.
